The Education and Development Team facilitated the placement, providing training in fundamentals of care and a variety of interactive placements.

The students have had a thorough orientation already to broaden their healthcare understanding. They have worked on the Sitwell, Rockingham, Respiratory, Children’s and Fitzwilliam wards. The students have also worked with colleagues in Endoscopy, Portering, Domestics and Dietetics.

Falzal, Alicia and Scarlett have chosen a T-Level to help them build a future career in healthcare. Falzal and Scarlett would like to work in nursing; Alicia hopes to become a midwife.

Chief Nurse Helen Dobson said: “We are proud to welcome Falzal, Alicia and Scarlett as our first healthcare T-Level students. We are pleased to see they are settling in and the positive reception they have received from Trust colleagues.

“T-Levels will be an important part of how the NHS develops its future workforce. The experience Falzal, Alicia and Scarlett are gaining is a great example of why. It’s an invaluable insight into the healthcare career they hope to build themselves.

“We hope to continue to work in partnership with RNN Group to support further healthcare T-Level students in the future.”
