LtR – Zoe Noon, Lead Technician at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, stands proudly with Lauren Partridge, Tutor at The Sheffield College.

Held on Tuesday 14 May, the awards celebrate outstanding achievements in apprenticeship programs.

The Go Further award recognises students who demonstrate a clear pathway towards their career goals and exceptional dedication to their professional development. Zoe, who completed her Level 3 Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship in 2023, epitomises these qualities. Prior to her apprenticeship, Zoe contributed to the Trust in various administrative roles for a decade.

Sharon Wells, Lead Technician for Education and Training at The Sheffield College, who mentored Zoe, praised her commitment and impact: “Zoe is a truly deserving candidate who exemplifies the spirit of apprenticeships. From the start, she has supported her peers, particularly first-year students, through her own initiative and kindness. Since qualifying, Zoe has excelled as a rotational pharmacy technician, continuing to support and inspire our students. We are incredibly proud to work with her.”

Reflecting on her achievement, Zoe expressed her gratitude: “Winning this award is very flattering! It’s wonderful to have my apprenticeship work recognised. More than anything, it was really nice to hear the kind words Sharon shared about me in her nomination.”

Apprenticeships play a crucial role in developing the Trust’s workforce. Since the apprenticeship levy was introduced in 2017, the Trust has completed over 250 successful apprenticeships, with many more in progress.
