The campaign calls on the Rotherham community to think beyond traditional Christmas giving and donate toiletries to support patients who come into the hospital with nothing. Often, these patients have no family or friends to visit them and bring essential supplies.

Rachael Dawes, Head of Fundraising at Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity said, “The generous donation from Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club will go such a long way in helping us support some of the most vulnerable patients cared for at the hospital. We were absolutely thrilled to receive bags full of toiletries including shampoo, toothbrushes and toothpaste, deodorant, and so much more that many of us take for granted.

“Without this support, we wouldn’t be able to offer this crucial service to patients in need.”

Martin Davis, President of Rotherham Sitwell Rotary Club said “Our newest RSR member Julia Jenkins brought her first campaign “Bubbles Not Baubles” to the club and asked for our support. The club was quick to respond and support this campaign. It was with great pleasure that Julia and I were able to deliver this donation from RSR to the hospital.”

The charity continues to welcome donations of toiletries including soaps, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, deodorant and feminine hygiene products. Every little bit helps to ensure that no patient feels forgotten during their hospital stay.

If you’d like to donate toiletries, please drop in any donations to the Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity Hub, located in Rotherham Hospital’s entrance opposite Boots. You can also contact the charity on 01709 426 821 or email trft.rhcc@nhs.net
