Apprenticeships
Apprenticeships are more than just a qualification. They can provide a stepping stone into, or help further your career within, the NHS.
Apprentices are valued members of the workforce which includes all employee benefits.
The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is committed to the development of apprenticeships. Our investment and volume of apprenticeship opportunities continues to increase for both existing staff and new apprentices joining the Trust.
We believe in building for our future, and the creation of career pathways means that you can start your journey with us with no previous qualifications and work alongside our professionals earning while you learn. Many work areas have now designed pathways that take Level 2 entry apprentices through to Level 7 apprenticeships.
We offer apprenticeships in numerous healthcare settings, administration, engineering, and other areas across the Trust.
We always want to invest and train the right people to help us provide an excellent service to our patients and visitors. Even when you are an employee, apprenticeships are available in a variety of different roles and can be funded up to degree level. Apprenticeship programmes provide valuable investment in the Trust's workforce and contributes to colleagues achieving their career goals.

After your apprenticeship
At The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust, we want to recruit our future workforce, and provide them with opportunities to develop throughout their apprenticeship.
For new recruits, a permanent post with The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is not guaranteed after the completion of the apprenticeship contract, although a high percentage of apprentices do gain further employment here. New recruits will be supported with job searches towards the end of the apprenticeship, if required.
