Orthodontics
Orthodontics treatment (usually involving braces) is often used to improve the appearance of crooked or crowded teeth, and to correct problems with bite of the teeth.
Treatment often includes wearing braces (removable or fixed), the extraction of teeth and, occasionally, jaw surgery.
There are three main reasons for having orthodontic treatment:
- to improve the appearance of your teeth
- to improve function - such as making it easier to eat
- to improve the health of your teeth and gums
