General Surgery

General Surgery covers all surgery from the neck down which is not covered by a specialist department.

The General Surgery and Urology department provides the full range of services including breast, vascular, and intestinal operations.

We have a number of adult and children's beds across Rotherham Hospital, including:

Ward B5
Breast Care Services

Same day surgery for some varicose vein, hernia and breast operations is carried out through the Day Surgery centre on B level. The Endoscopy Unit, which is also on B level, is used in the detection of cancers.
