How to change a tube on a hearing aid with an ear mould

Ear Care and Audiology

1

Separate the mould from the hearing aid and start to pull the old tubing out steadily.

Place to one side once out.

2

Take new tube.

Use scissors to cut the short side of the new tubing...

3

...so you are left with a tapered end.

4

Push the tapered end into the ear mould...

5

...until the tubing bend reaches the ear mould.

6

Cut the tube as close to the ear mould as you can.

7

Use the old tubing and line up to the new tube...

8

...and cut to the same length.

9

Reattach your hearing aid.
