Looking for an exciting event to add to your 2025 calendar? Look no further! From challenges, to crafting workshops, we have an event for you.

Every ticket purchased, step taken and pound raised helps us to enhance patient care, fund vital projects and make a real difference to those in our community.

Spring Fair

Date: 17 April 2025
Time: 10am to 3pm
Location: Main entrance, Rotherham Hospital
Details: Spring will be in the air at Rotherham Hospital as we host our Spring Fair! If you are attending the hospital, either as a patient or a visitor, it will be a day with a difference! You can try your luck on our chocolate tombola and raffle. We’ll have professional traders selling gifts, chocolate, food and crafts. 

All the funds we raise will help to fund the extra special resources and equipment the NHS cannot afford for our patients and their families.

Skydive

Dates: Saturday 26 April 2025 and Sunday 14 September 2025
Location: Skydive Hibaldstow, North Lincolnshire
Details: We're looking for daredevils to take fundraising to new heights by joining our official skydiving team.

Your skydive will cost you £229. You can reserve your place with a £75 non-refundable deposit.

The sky is the limit - you can raise as much as possible, but we'd like you to raise a minimum of £200.

Deposits can be paid by bank transfer, cheque or paid in person. Read our 'Make a donation' page for details.

Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge

Date: Saturday 10 May 2025
Location: Horton-in-Ribblesdale
Registration fee: £35 (non refundable)
Fundraising target: £200 minimum sponsorship 
Details: The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge offers a thrilling 24 mile trek through the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales! Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a first-time adventurer, every step will take you through stunning landscapes. It is a truly unforgettable challenge. 

We work with the experts at Elite Adventures to guide this incredible challenge. This includes their team of certified mountain leaders and a support vehicle which acts as a check point to assist those who are no longer able to continue with the challenge. Snacks and drinks are also provided at the support vehicle.

Business Breakfast Networking Event

Date: Friday 16 May 2025
Location: TBC (Rotherham)
Details: This free-to-attend event is the latest in our increasingly popular Business Breakfast series, designed to bring together local professionals for networking, insights and inspiration. Enjoy a delicious breakfast sandwich and hot drink while hearing from engaging speakers who are making a significant impact in our community.

Dearne Valley 10K

Date: Friday 18 May 2025
Location: Manvers Lake, Rotherham
Details: Join the ever popular Dearne Valley 10K for 2025! Whether you're an experienced runner or just getting started, this race is deigned to suit a variety of abilities. Running for Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity is a fantastic way to keep fit, while supporting an incredible cause in your community.

National Three Peaks

Dates: Friday 20 June to Sunday 22 June 2025
Registration fee: £95 upon booking, £195 paid 8 weeks before challenge (non refundable)
Fundraising target: £600 minimum sponsorship 
Details: This iconic challenge is regarded as one of the UK’s toughest mountain events. Do you have what it takes? The National Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. Led by the experts at Elite Adventures, the team coordinate the entire challenge including travel and an overnight stay at Fort William. You are in safe hands with expert mountain leaders, helping you tackle this incredible challenge!

Total Warrior

Date: Saturday 21 June 2025
Location: Bramham Park, Leeds
Details: Do you have what it takes to tackle 12km of ice, water and mud?

You can join Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity’s team as they take the ultimate muddy challenge while raising money at the same time.

The charity has secured a limited amount of discounted places for the event at Bramham Park in Leeds on 21 June 2025. 

You can now take part for £35 instead of £77.95! We’d simply like Warriors to raise a minimum of £100.

Wear It Blue Day

Date: Any day of your choice in July
Location: Your school, workplace or community group
Details: Wear it blue to celebrate the NHS! During July, we're encouraging you to hold your very own Wear It Blue Day to support your local NHS charity. Could your school, workplace or community group choose a day in July to wear it blue to celebrate the NHS' birthday? We suggest a donation of £1 per person.

It's a Charity Knockout

Date: Sunday 6 July 2025
Location: Hooton Lodge Farm
Details: How often do you get to see the boss on a giant inflatable obstacle course? Or your colleagues tackling an inflatable bungee run? This is to perfect chance to do so and all for two amazing charities – Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity and Weston Park Cancer Charity. There will be amazing inflatable obstacles, water, foam and general fundraising mayhem at Hooton Lodge Farm. It's a Charity Knockout is Britain's best team building tournament! You can't beat it for mad moments, belly laughs and nostalgia. 

We’re looking for 18 daring teams of 10 to take part. You can secure your team a place by paying a £100 deposit - that’s just £10 each. We’d like your team to raise a minimum of £1,000 (£100 each).

Great North Run

Date: Sunday 7 September 2025

Details: Is 2025 the year you take on the iconic Great North Run? We have exclusive packages for this year's event and we'd love you to run for us, tick off this fantastic challenge while supporting your local NHS charity. Enjoy benefits including:

Autumn Wreath Making Workshop

Date: Tuesday 23 September 2025
Location: Pausa Cafe, Dunelm, Rotherham S60 2XL
Time: 5pm to 8pm
Details: Due to the success of our popular Christmas Wreath Making Workshop, we will be hosting an Autumnal inspired event to celebrate the beginning of this beautiful season. Join us for a delightful session of crafting, where you'll design your own stunning Autumn wreath using natural materials, guided by the expert florists at Floral Expressions. Hot drinks and a sweet treat are provided. The cost of the event is £40 per person.

Golf day

Date: Friday 26 September 2025
Time: 11am arrival. Tee off from 1pm and play until 5.30pm
Location: Rotherham Golf Club
Details: We're looking for keen golfers to enter teams into our Golf Day at one of the region’s most prestigious courses and clubhouses.  

This is an opportunity to raise money for two of Rotherham’s leading health charities – Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity and Rotherham Cancer Care.

Early bird booking price - £260 per four ball. Businesses, organisations, community groups or individuals can get involved.

The day includes breakfast as well as a two course meal after the golf. There will also be a raffle and an auction.

Lake District 8 Peaks

Date: Saturday 27 September 2025
Location: Great Langdale, Ambleside

Details: Could you take on one of the Lake District's toughest challenges in 2025? This epic hike covers 15 miles of stunning panoramic views. You’ll tackle some of England’s most challenging peaks, including the highest – Scafell Pike, all for a fantastic cause!

Rotherham Polar Plunge

Date: Saturday 22 November 2025
Time: From 10am
Location: Manvers Lake, Wath-Upon-Dearne, Rotherham
Details: Experience the exhilaration of a cold water dip. Imagine the thrill of stepping into icy waters, the rush of adrenaline and the camaraderie of fellow plungers - all while supporting a charitable cause. We are working with experts from The Breath Connection to bring you this chilly challenge. 

You will learn the art of cold water dipping, breath work and the wellbeing benefits of cold water. There’s no swimming involved. The event is suitable for those with a disability – please just get in touch with us beforehand to discuss how we can support you. 

We believe that bravery deserves recognition - hot drinks and certificates await our boldest plungers. So, gather your friends, form a team and let's see who can make the biggest splash.

It costs £25 to take part and we’d like participants to raise a minimum of £50. 

Please encourage your friends, family and colleagues to take the plunge with you too! (Just remember, that the minimum age is 18 and we’d need to review any long term health conditions you may have with Miranda and San at The Breath Connection beforehand.)

Christmas Wreath Making Workshop

Date: Tuesday 25 November 2025
Time: 5pm to 8pm
Location: Pausa Cafe, Dunelm, Rotherham, S60 2XL
Details: Join us in celebrating the festive season, coming together to spread joy and goodwill, with a dash of creativity. Our popular Christmas Wreath Making Workshop, hosted in collaboration with hospital-based florists Floral Expressions, is back for 2025 - you can embrace the spirit of Christmas and make a wreath to be proud of, all while supporting a fantastic charity. It's a great opportunity to come along with your family, friends or colleagues to make something unique to you, ready for the festive season. Coffee and mince pies are provided for that extra special festive feeling.
