The Blood Sciences department incorporates the Haematology, Immunology and Chemical Pathology laboratories.

The blood transfusion laboratory provides blood and blood components and products to the hospital for the transfusion of patients.

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Service provides care for patients after heart surgery. 

We help patients with a range of heart problems including heart attacks, angina, acute coronary syndrome, acute rhythm problems, and pacemakers. 

Chaplaincy are responsible for the spiritual and religious care of patients, visitors and staff. 

The Child Development Centre provides an assessment service for children under 5 who are having difficulties in more than one area of their development. This can include assessing for autism.

The team deliver high quality and safe nursing care and support to children and young people in their homes and community settings.

If your child has been referred to see a specialist at the hospital, it is likely that they will be seen in the children’s outpatient department.

Our services cover the whole of a child's journey from new born baby to young adult. 

The Continence Advisory Service provides clinical advice, support and treatment for people with bladder and bowel dysfunction.

Many surgical specialities offer operations which can be done as a day case. This means you are admitted and discharged on the same day as your surgery.

The Rotherham Community Dental Service provide dental advice and treatment to children and adults with specialised treatment needs. 

We provide treatment for all dermatological (skin) conditions. 

The specialist diabetes team assess and treat patients at Rotherham Hospital. Specialist nurse clinics are offered at some Rotherham GP surgeries.

General Surgery covers all surgery from the neck down which is not covered by a specialist department. 

The gynaecology department treat conditions to do with the female reproductive system.

We provide maternity care at Rotherham Hospital and throughout the community.

The team produce clinical photographs which are used to help diagnose, assess and treat patients.

The Microbiology Department offers a comprehensive routine and emergency range of diagnostic services which together with its partner laboratory at Barnsley covers all aspects of routine Microbiolo

Mortuary services facilitate the reception, storage and post mortem examination and viewing of deceased persons from the hospital and the community, and provide services for H.M Coroner.

Formerly known as Special Care Baby Unit, the Neonatal Unit provides specialist care to premature babies and other babies needing hospital care or treatment after birth.

The nuclear medicine imaging and ABPI doppler department carries out a variety of patient studies.

We promote health and wellbeing through nutrition (eating and drinking well) to reduce/prevent illness.

Occupational therapists work with patients who have physical and/or social problems. 

Ophthalmology is the treatment of eye conditions, including diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the eyes.

This service deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the mouth, jaws, face, and neck.

Orthodontics treatment (usually involving braces) is often used to improve the appearance of crooked or crowded teeth, and to correct problems with bite of the teeth. 

The orthopaedics department treat musculoskeletal disorders (including bones, joints, ligaments and tendons).

Orthotics services provide specialist equipment to aid movement, correct deformities, heal injuries, and reduce pain and discomfort.

Palliative care, or end of life care, is the active, holistic care of patients in the last months and years of their life. 

Pathology services at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust are part of the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Pathology partnership.

The Pharmacy team make sure medicines are used in a safe and effective way. 

Phlebotomy is blood taking service.

Photopheresis is also known as Extracorporeal Photopheresis (ECP).

Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice.

Podiatrists assess, diagnose and treat problems of the feet, ankles and lower limbs.

The Pre-admission Centre provide pre-operative assessments to patients before their planned surgery.

The Primary Ear Care and Audiology services are based at Rotherham Community Health Centre

The Theatre Admissions Unit is a seated area where patients can be admitted to wait for their operation.
